S Tier
Pumpkin Lamppost
One of its notable features is the introduction of offensive buffs for party members, a departure from the usual self-buffing weapons. This ability opens up new tactical possibilities, allowing Glenn to enhance the physical damage output of a party's physical hyper carry. The combination of this offensive buff with a flat heal and gradual heal, all while benefiting from its high heal potency, creates a synergistic package.
Jiggy Fam
Jiggy Fam is a unique weapon as it does AOE earth magic damage, making it the only other weapon in the game with this capability. It also boosts MATK and earth potency. Its third support materia slot increases â–³ sigil damage, making it a fantastic sub-weapon for units with mage builds.
Rest in Peace
Rest in Peace is a high physical attack base weapon that deals physical non-elemental damage to a single enemy. It provides an ATK boost and wind resistance. It breaks diamond sigils with its skill. It's worth investing in if you don't have Apology in Hell and offers even better physical base stats when overboosted. It can also be used as a sub-weapon to increase ATK.
A Tier
Hardcore Squad
This weapon buffs the party's physical and magical defense and provides a small HP heal. It has average attack stats and healing potency, which is understandable for a support weapon. It offers a healing potency boost and critical potency. All of its support materia slots provide MATK +20%.
Apology in Hell
This weapon inflicts physical non-elemental damage on a single target with a 10% crit rate. It has high damage modifiers and a solid physical attack base. It boosts ATK by 24 and increases ice resistance by 9 points. However, it could have been improved with a physical attack boost instead of just ATK. It's a good weapon for Glenn and can serve as a sub-weapon to enhance ATK.
Crewkicker
Crewkicker boasts a very high physical attack base stat and deals single-target fire physical damage. It also boosts HP and fire potency. While it's useful against fire-weak bosses like Shiva, it lacks an offensive ability. It can be used as a sub-weapon for HP increase, although Tonberry weapons perform this role better.
Inferno Grave
Inferno Grave is a free and farmable weapon obtainable from Ifrit. It's a great weapon to invest in if you manage to max out its overboost. It deals single-target magical fire damage, boosts ice resistance, and increases ATK. It's especially effective against Shiva and pairs well with Jiggy Fam for a fire mage build for Glenn.
Piece of Cake
Piece of Cake is a high physical attack base weapon that deals physical non-elemental damage to a single target while reducing their PDEF. It also boosts PDEF and ice resistance. All support materia slots increase physical attack by 20%. It's worth investing in if your team lacks other debuffers. It's a good secondary weapon for Glenn, and it pairs well with Apology in Hell or Rest in Peace for a physical damage build. However, it's not suitable for use as a sub-weapon.
Shockbuster
Shockbuster has average attack base stats and deals AOE lightning-based magical damage. It boosts ATK and lightning potency. It pairs well with Jiggy Fam for an earth/lightning mage build for Glenn. It's worth investing in for the lightning coverage or if you lack other lightning damage weapons or materia. It can also be used as a sub-weapon to boost ATK.
Thousand Waves
Thousand Waves is a free event weapon from Tonberry that can be overboosted to 10 stars. It deals single-target non-elemental damage and boosts HP and MDEF, with a substantial increase when maxed out. It's definitely worth investing in, especially for free-to-play players, as it will serve you well for a long time.
B Tier
Steiner's Blade
Its C-ability deals physical non-elemental damage with a 360% modifier to a single enemy, featuring a critical hit rate of 10%. Additionally, it debuffs physical defense with a low potency even at max overboost. Glenn possesses a superior weapon in Piece of Cake, which can significantly debuff physical defense with a higher potency. However, if you don't have access to Piece of Cake, this weapon will suffice.
Personal Style
Personal Style has an above-average physical attack base stat and deals single-target physical non-elemental damage. It boosts HP and water potency. All three support materia slots increase physical attacks by 20%. However, it may not be worth investing in due to the HP boost, which reduces its offensive capabilities. It can be used as a sub-weapon for HP increase, although Tonberry weapons are more suitable for this role.
